For my research proposal topic, I chose to focus on the Prefrontal-Amygdala Connectivity in relation to the emotional regulation of infants. I chose this topic because I have always been interested in how the body develops and functions. In addition, emotions and how we “feel” and “process” them have always been a concept that both leaves me confused and amazed. I decided to put the two together, and when I learned that there was very limited research on infants, the stage where the majority of this development takes place, I knew that I had to dive deeper and urge this topic to be researched.
